Have these to hand before you start
- A Samsung or LG television that carries Smart IPTV in its own store
- Your VOCOIPTV M3U link, which arrives in the same WhatsApp message as the login
- A phone or laptop, because half of this setup happens away from the television
- Somewhere to write down a MAC address without making a mistake

Do these in order
Decide which television this is going on
Both of the things this app asks of you are tied to one specific set, so choose deliberately rather than starting on whichever remote is nearest. The playlist is bound to that television MAC address, and the activation after the trial is charged per television. Putting it on the main set and a player that takes an ordinary login on the others is the arrangement most households settle into. If you have two identical sets in the house, label the MAC you write down with the room it came from, because the two addresses look alike at a glance and sending a list to the wrong one produces a working television in the room you were not in.
Install it and write the MAC address down exactly
In the store built into the television, look for Smart IPTV and install it. Open the app one time and leave it on its first screen. Across the top or the middle of the screen it displays the MAC address, in six pairs of characters separated by colons. Copy it out by hand, character for character, and read it back against the screen before you walk away. A zero and a capital O are the same shape in that font, as are the number one and a lower case L. This is the single most common failure on this page, and it produces no error message at all, only a television that stays empty.
Find your M3U link and understand what it is
Your activation message carries a login and, alongside it, a long web address containing get.php with your username and password attached to it. That address is your M3U playlist link, and an M3U is a plain list pairing channel names with the addresses they stream from. This app wants that link rather than the login. Treat it as you would a password, because it carries your credentials inside it, and anybody holding it holds your subscription. Copy it once, carefully, into the clipboard of the phone you are about to use.
Send the playlist to that television
On the phone or laptop, go to siptv.app/mylist. The page asks for the MAC address first: type the one you wrote down, colons included. Paste the M3U link into the URL field. Tick the box marked Keep online, which stores the list against that television rather than treating it as a one-off upload, and skipping it is why some people lose their channels a week later. Leave the other fields alone. Press Send. The page confirms it has accepted the list, which means it has taken the address, not that the television has done anything yet.
Restart the app properly, not the television
Go back to the set and close Smart IPTV the way the television means it: press Home, move up onto the app card, and choose the cross or Exit, rather than pressing Home and leaving it running behind you. Then open it again. The channel list downloads and the guide fills in behind it. On an older set this takes a minute or two and the screen may look like nothing is happening. If it opens to the MAC address screen again, the list has not reached it, and the first entry under the problems below is where to look.
Deal with the activation when the seven days are up
The app runs free for a week and then asks for a one-time activation for that television at siptv.app/activation. It is a small amount, it is paid once for the life of that set, and it goes to the developer of the app. It is nothing to do with your subscription here, we receive none of it, and we cannot waive it or pay it for you. If you would rather not pay anybody else anything, IPTV Smarters is free on both Samsung and LG and takes the login directly, at the cost of being heavier on an older set.
Check it holds after a cold start
Play a news channel for a minute and a sports channel for another. Open the guide and confirm program names rather than blank rows. Then switch the television off at the wall socket, wait half a minute, switch it back on and open the app. This is the test that matters with this particular app, because the playlist lives at the developer end rather than in the television, and a set that has to be sent the list again after every power cut is telling you the Keep online box was not ticked. If the channels come straight back, it is finished and you will not have to think about it again.
If the screen does not look right
The upload said it worked and the television is still empty
Almost always the MAC. A television has two of them, one for the wireless chip and one for the Ethernet socket, and the app shows the one belonging to whichever connection the set is using at that moment. If you wrote the address down while the set was on Wi-Fi and have since plugged in a cable, the list has gone to an address that is no longer in use. Open the app, read the MAC again as it is now, and send the list to that one. Failing that, check the characters you copied against the screen once more.
It worked for a fortnight, then the list emptied itself
This app holds exactly one playlist per television. If somebody else sent a list to the same MAC, or if the Keep online box was left unticked when yours was sent, yours is replaced or expires. Send it again at siptv.app/mylist with the same MAC and the box ticked. A television that empties after a firmware update or a factory reset is the same story from a different direction, and the same upload fixes it.
Every channel is in one enormous list with no groups
That is the difference between the two kinds of M3U link. The plain one carries names and addresses only, while the extended one carries the group each channel belongs to as well, and its address ends in a type of m3u_plus. If your list has arrived flat, message support and ask for the extended link, then send the new address to the same MAC. Nothing else needs redoing and the channels do not change, only the way they are sorted.
The television says the trial has ended
Seven days after the first playlist reaches it, the app asks for its one-time activation, and until that is paid it shows the notice rather than the channels. Your subscription is unaffected and still running underneath. Pay it at siptv.app/activation for that set, or install IPTV Smarters from the same store and use the login instead, which costs nothing and takes five minutes. Either way nothing needs re-ordering at our end.
Other apps that open the same subscription
Smarters Pro
IPTV Smarters Pro runs on nearly every screen and carries no channels of its own. Which install route your device needs, and the settings that matter.
M3U playlist
An M3U link is a plain list of channel names paired with addresses. When to use it instead of the login, where it goes, and why it carries no guide.
Every guide in one list
One page for each television, box and app we cover.
Working through this with no login yet?
The steps above are the same whether you are on the free day or a paid term, so there is nothing to undo later. Tell us it is a SIPTV app and we will send the three lines that make it work.
SIPTV app IPTV FAQ
What is the difference between Smart IPTV and SS IPTV?
They are two different apps, written by two different people, arriving at nearly the same answer, and the names are close enough that people mix them up daily. The one on this page wants a MAC address and an upload. SS IPTV does it with a short connect code shown on the television, which you type into its own website alongside your link. Either works with an account here, so use whichever one your television store actually carries rather than hunting for a particular one.
Is the activation fee part of what I pay you?
No, and we want to be plain about that. The fee belongs to the developer of the app, it is charged per television, and none of it reaches us. We cannot activate it on your behalf or include it in a plan. The alternative, if paying a second party is the objection, is IPTV Smarters on the same television, which is free and takes your login directly.
Does one activation cover a second television?
It does not. The activation follows the MAC address, so a second set needs its own, in the same way it needs its own upload. Households with several televisions usually put this app on one set and a free player on the rest, all drawing on the same account. Nothing in your plan changes either way, since the plan counts streams playing at once rather than televisions set up.
Can I change the playlist later without reinstalling?
Yes, and it takes a minute. Go back to siptv.app/mylist, enter the same MAC, paste the new link over the old one and send it. The television picks up the change the next time the app is opened. This is how a renewal with a new link, or a move to the extended playlist, is handled: nothing is uninstalled and the app on the television is never touched.
